Construction of Cityscape Homes is financed by multiple sources including the State of CT Dept. of Economic & Community Development, the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development, the City of Hartford, LISC, CHFA, and the SINA anchor institutions. Much of this financing is in the form of grants as a second or third mortgage. Generally, the financing restricts the property from being resold for 10 to 15 years to a family that is not income qualified. There are a variety of programs available, such as those below, to help make these homes affordable for first-time homebuyers.
