YWCA Hartford Region and the Connecticut State Treasurer’s Office, have been hosting the annual Money Conference for Women since 2002. This FREE financial literacy conference has helped thousands of women in the Hartford region take control of their money. The 2019 Money Conference for Women will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Marriott Hartford Downtown. Medina K. Jett, JD, MBA is an attorney and Founder and President of ICS Group, LLC. She is also the co-founder of Financial Literacy For All, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is to help young adults in under-represented communities gain the financial knowledge necessary to create a strong financial foundation.
Following the keynote address, participants can choose a Financial Focus Workshop on a topic suited to their specific life stage and needs. Presenters offer practical tools covering a variety of topics such as Entrepreneurship, Debt, Credit, Retirement Planning, Home Ownership and Investment and gaining general Financial Independence.
