Director of Community Partnerships & Policy Analyst
As SINA’s Director of Community Partnerships and Policy Analyst, Logan is responsible for implementing SINA’s community strengthening strategic goals and overseeing communications. Logan coordinates SAFE (Safety Alliance for Everyone), a coalition of community stakeholders that address blight and safety issues through grassroots action. He also oversees SINA’s efforts pertaining to community voice & recognition and volunteer opportunities. In terms of communications, Logan manages SINA’s social media and digital communication strategy and is developing a system to better distribute information to community residents, employees, and other stakeholders.’
From 2018-2019, SAFE coordinated six clean up competitions that engaged over 350 volunteers who collected 762 bags of trash and recycling. SAFE also used a Love Your Block grant to install a mural on Wolcott Street. The idea for the mural came through conversations with street residents who also brainstormed the mural’s theme and participated in painting. During the winter of 2019, SAFE hosted a Holiday Decoration Competition and two-family movie days on the Trinity College Campus. One of the movie days Facebook events reached over 15,000 people.
Before his current role, Logan was working part-time as SINA’s Community Engagement Consultant where he coordinated SAFE. He originally connected with SINA through his volunteer work at Know Thy Neighbor, which brings together community members, houses of worship, and the Hartford fire and police departments to carry out projects that address residents’ concerns. Before working full time at SINA, Logan worked as the Director of Outreach Ministries at Center Church where he assisted 900 community members a year in navigating resources and oversaw the distribution of over $600,000 worth of assistance. Prior, Logan served for three years as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Hands on Hartford and Hartford City Hall with the North Hartford Promise Zone.
Logan holds a BA in Christian Ministries from Messiah College and is presently enrolled in the University of Connecticut’s Masters of Public Administration (MPA) program.
