Looking for volunteer work. Tomorrow – Saturday, May 3rd Hartford is cleaning up! Below is a list of locations where volunteers are welcome to participate in picking up litter off the streets of Hartford.
Barbour Street Area
Starts at 8:30 AM. Meet at Fred D. Wish School, 350 Barbour Street. Led by Hartford Communities That Care.
Keney Park
From 9am – 1pm. Led by the Blue Hills Civic Association. Volunteers are asked to gather at the Greenfield Street entrance to the park. Gloves. rakes, tools and bags will be provided. Light lunch will be served. For additional information call the Blue Hills Civic Association 860-560-7723.
Maple Avenue and Barry Square Area
From 9am – 12noon. Led by the Maple Avenue Revitalization Group. Volunteers are asked to gather in the vacant lot across from Dunkin Donuts, 754 Maple Avenue. A cook-out for the volunteers will follow the clan-up. For more information, call Hyacinth Yennie at 860-296-9953.
